DHS collaborating with FB and Twitter to censor information

Anonymous
Crazy stuff. I read here all the time that Twitter and FB are private companies, so free speech doesn't apply when they censor information.
When the government tells them what to suppress or censor, it is a matter of free speech.

Interesting idea. Now that Zuckerberg is killing Meta and Musk is killing Twitter, this may be moot.

Free speech under assault. The ministry of truth will define the narrative.

These days, you see more robust discussions on Russia Today than in MSM

This. It is terrifying.

Wow. So now Republicans love Russian propaganda.

It's really moot now that Musk is killing Twitter anyhow.

TLDNR..So this is the right wing white nationalists complaining again? Twitter is not really trustworthy source for anything but Russian propaganda.

Trust me, this is not - and never will be - moot. The larger they are, the harder they fall.

DP. The post just above was praising RT...

Disinformation are lies. Freedom of speech should not extend to lies. But the fact that some of you would praise RT over our own media companies tells me all I need to know. I’m stunned that folks think RT is legitimate media but criticize the MSM as government sponsored. Your thinking is beyond f**ed up.

They’re one-trick-ponies.

Anything that questions the VERY obvious narrative is therefore Russia Russia Russia!

How do they rationalize their demigod Bernie Sanders taking his honeymoon in Russia, way back when?

You're breezing right past those Republicans who spent the Fourth of July in Moscow. I get it, that one is hard to square, it's better to just forget it happened.

Uh huh... no surprises in this.

"Under President Joe Biden, the shifting focus on disinformation has continued. In January 2021, CISA replaced the Countering Foreign Influence Task force with the “Misinformation, Disinformation and Malinformation” team, which was created “to promote more flexibility to focus on general MDM.” By now, the scope of the effort had expanded beyond disinformation produced by foreign governments to include domestic versions. The MDM team, according to one CISA official quoted in the IG report, “counters all types of disinformation, to be responsive to current events.”"
