Why do some people give out full-sized candy bars for Halloween?

| Because we want to bring joy, Ebenezer Scrooge! It is simple. We don't think about what they are getting or not getting. This year we are giving minis because it has gotten too expensive. |

When I was a kid, that’s the only size we got! The little ones didn’t exist yet.
Yes, I’m old, haha! But I still think the little candy bars are kind of sad. |

| We give them out because my husband grew up giving them out and it's a fun treat to get something a little different. Giving out candy at all is unnecessary, and kids are going to "get enough" no matter if we give out full size bars or fun size bars, or raisins. I think it's nice to get different things, and the kids we get seem to appreciate it. |

| Kids absolutely LOVE them. Their faces light up - even the teens who generally grab and go. I do have some smaller stuff on the side for the toddler crowd, but anyone 5ish or over gets full sized. We get about 350/400 trick or treaters, and it’s rare that someone doesn’t at least say “ow wow!” when I put out the tray for them to choose. I love seeing the kids so happy. |

We do it because the kids LOVE it. They get so excited. I would imagine if they got all full size, they'd probably not care as much, but as long as we see them so happy about it, we'll continue. |

what?? when i was growing up we would hear from other people on the sidewalk which houses had full sized candy bars and run there to make sure we got one before they were gone. it was such a silly little thrill. and to be honest, 2-3 fun sized snickers are almost the same size as a full snickers so it's not even that much more candy. it's just fun. like winning 2 dollars on a scratch off ticket when your HHI is 400k.

| Seriously, another judgy post about what other people choose to give out? You can’t win around here. Full size is too much, dum dums are too little, no teal pumpkin you’re a jerk, pretzels or pirates booty is too boring, too many choices is overwhelming for the kids, etc. Good grief. Do what you want and don’t worry about what anyone else does. |
