Awful story but it proves the metro is the crime expressway to Virginia

? No, it’s a story about one incident. |
|
There was a rape at a Tyson’s hotel a year or two back too. And everyone that lives around Tysons has seen the uptick in crime at the mall.
|
| Seems likely he’ll be caught. Put him underneath the jail. |
| He could have also used Uber. Hopefully Metro is willing to cooperate with identifying the individual. |
|
Someone else said this and then we all found out the criminal drive his or her car. Whatever.
I’m sure Virginia has no criminals if its own. Lol |

It does NOT surprise me this happened at a Wyndham hotel. A woman in DC reported seeing a woman being dragged through a hallway and a man who tried to access her room with a key card at 1 am and then began pounding on the door. She feared for her life. The Cambria in DC has many reports of people breaking into the rooms of women with help from hotel staff: https://mobile.twitter.com/duhlayshuh/status/1448651030439219217 We avoid hotels by this brand after hearing enough of these stories from around the country over several years. https://endsexualexploitation.org/articles/wyndham-gang-trafficking/ https://travelnoire.com/amp/sex-trafficking-lawsuit https://www.law360.com/amp/articles/1433708 https://www.kktv.com/2020/11/17/multiple-people-arrested-suspected-of-running-a-prostitution-ring-at-a-colorado-springs-hotel/?outputType=amp Wyndham was probably in on it. |

The story makes it obvious what happened. Door unlocked. Male friend of the victim nearby.
Hope this guy gets caught. Glad the victim came forward. |
I find this attitude so strange. Rapists also use cars and roads, of course hut no one complains about those. I mean thousands of people take the metro to their jobs every day. |
Every hotel I have stayed at has a door that locks automatically. Then you need a key card to unlock it. I suspect the rapist was given a key card. If the door doesn’t lock, then it was designed that way to facilitate attacks like this. https://mobile.twitter.com/moneyymaya/status/1448461963495936001 |
It's about criminals using metro to come into VA commit crimes and then go back home to DC or MD. They come over for various crimes. |
If you read a story about a crime that included the minor detail that the criminal rode away on a bike, would you say it was about bikes as a means of transport to commit crimes? Also, the thread title is inaccurate. The story says that "Detectives believe the suspect resides in the Washington D.C. area." That includes where you live. |
| There is ZERO evidence in the reporting that the suspect is a “DC man.” There is circumstantial evidence that OP is a racist troll. |
It's their commute, maybe we should give them free metro cards |
My guess is that a majority of criminals use cars, but OP's not complaining that roads are "the crime expressway." |
