First name Theodore - thoughts? middle names?

This is what my husband and I have agreed on - with almost NO other names that the other person can tolerate! It's been a very hard process. But I like this, and I like the idea of calling a kid Teddy or Theo. Just wondering if it would be a weird transition for a little boy who is called Teddy to go to school and be calle Theo. Unclear. I don't my husband will agree to call the baby Theo from the get go.

| Why would you call the baby Teddy at first and then switch the nickname to Theo later? If he goes by Teddy, people will call him Teddy. |

| For Theodore, I love the nickname Teddy or even Henry but NOT Theo. When I think Theo I just envision Theo Huxtable. As for middle name I like Clayton. |

I love it! I'm a fan of both nicknames AND both middle names.
I happen to like Evan a lot, on its own and as a middle to Theodore. Go you!

| I love Theodore, Teddy & Theo- not wild about the middle names. Don't plan to change his nickname, that just won't work. Either give him a nickname at birth or let it develop organically, but switching nicknames will just confuse the kid and his family. I think the Theo/Cosby Show connection is dated enough to be meaningless, none of his classmates will care about the Cosby Show. |
