Eg do teachers routinely share notes (good or bad) about parents as kids move to the next grade? Like a 1st grade teacher giving a review of parents to the 2nd grade teachers? |
Are you one of the crazy ones, OP? |
In HS, yes, but only in extreme cases to warn. It’s common. We talk. |
Yep. I’m not a teacher but I have friends that are. It’s mostly about the extreme obnoxious ones who become well known in the school for their bad behavior. |
+1 The “not my sweet boy” parents are an absolute nightmare. Since you asked. |
Nothing in writing, but if there is an issue a teacher might ask last year's teacher what their experience was. |
+1 Never in writing but yes, both positive and less positive (usually stuff like “you will never see or hear from this person”) |
Is that positive or negative? ![]() Seriously though, I talk about people I encounter at work, why wouldn't teachers? |
At happy hour, YES. |
Yes |
of course we do. just like parents talk about teachers. |
+1 |
Of course they do! Teachers talk about EVERYONE. |
God I hope they do and I hope they laugh and make fun of some of us. They deserve that and I’m happy for them. |
Teachers talked about other kids in front of me (I'm a parent!). |
