Great. My Q4 will stay in the older NL team to develop better to prepare for college recruiting. |

I hope they actually say why 8-1 wasn’t chosen … I’d like to hear why they would bypass something that would ensure almost 99.9 SY ti SY … if they moved the date to go to SY then why not ensure it is
Will still have trapped at 9-1…so dumb |
| Is USSF weighing in on this? How will this effect MLSN, etc? |
They’re under usys. No way they’re not switching to SY right ? |
| Anybody know when ECNL may put out the plan, hopefully….if they have one |
Why do people think MLS Next is under USYS, it’s definitely not. This kind of rumor could only emerge in the lunacy of this thread. |
What is under USYS? |
| So this is kind of a big deal. Does anyone educated on this forum understand what elite leagues will be impacted? I assume ECNL. GA? MLSN? |
💯 Only path now is to advocate for these kids through actionable steps. My recommendation - reach out repeatedly by email to leadership of all these orgs - US Club Soccer, ECNL, USYS, AYSO - and push for a solution for the August kids. One benefit of the long transition to fall 2026 rollout is there is time for them to account for this oversight if they get feedback that there is a sizable push for it. |
| A collaborative group at the @ussoccer AGM has announced player registration for USYS, AYSO and US Club soccer will move to a 9/1 (September 1 cut off) for registration beginning in the 2026 registration period. |

For sure, the grass in greener where you water it. |
That was tried in 2016. Didn’t work. The ship has sailed, brother. |
Well so it’s every league that’s sanctioned by those organizations. ECNL is sanctioned by US Club Soccer, by so is So Cal Soccer and hundreds of other leagues. USYS also sanctions leagues, including the leagues basically all the Ulittles play in. AYSO mostly had their own in house situation. What’s really interesting to me is there are things like national academy league which was made for MLS next clubs to have something to do with their U littles but they’re are also sanctioned by USYS. So I think more questions than answers at this point. |

my daughter birthday is in Aug 2008, graduating 2027. she plays U17 now. this upcoming season 2025/2026 she will move up to U18/19.
then for the 2026/2027 season she will still play U18/19. but if she is Aug birthdate that means she will get a third year in U18/U19 for the 2027/2028 season? am I reading this correctly? |
