A parent friend from another team sent me screen shots of the two different pics and we all had a good laugh. Only the three girls in the middle on the bottom row had their faces changed. Not sure why but definitely seems shady. She also confirmed that the three faces that were changed were the "guest players" from outside the club. I hope the staff keep posting their funny excuses we are all getting a kick out of it. What's being said among parents outside of this chat is way worse then what's being said on it. Luckily people took screen shots of the images so they are definitely going around. I'm assuming GFR didn't take into account that one of the ringers parents post the original pic online before GFR posted their edited one...man its been fun today thanks GFR you never disappoint

You are a sad, pathetic person if the highlight of your MDW was reading about an invented roster scandal with 9 year old girls. Hopefully none of them ever see this absurdity.

one of the guest players/maybe club come overs is not included in your conspiracy, so maybe drop it.
You are all crazy

SAC tournament U little GFR teams blew out others with no guests in top or 2nd brackets until finals with slim losses.

But the difference is it sounds like the finals games were close, in that tournament.

same players all tournament. kids flop
finals for tons of reasons. this whole thread is comical for littles

flop finals? the GFR team went from losing to Arl blue 4-3 in the group to GFR team beating them in the final 8-2 and you don't think there is something fishy going on there. Seems like the original poster about all this stuff was right and along with the ringers they already had they brought more on the final day but keep working overtime gfr staff you did it to yourselves

doesn't sound right at all

My DD plays top team and we've never been asked but going to play with the 3rd team in a tournament would not feel right. Maybe if they absolutely needed players and couldn't find anyone but we definitely wouldn't do it for a club outside of our own.

So four 1st team players were stacked on to a team competing in the last bracket, and GFR posted crowing about it? Yikes.

I assume the two outside ringers are playing on the first GFR team next year.

From what someone else posted it’s was 3 players from a top team of another club, 2 from GFR top team and, 2 from GFR 2nd team. One has to wonder that if they brought so many players why did they play in the lowest bracket…these top team players needed a trophy that bad?

I know for certain that at least one of the outside ringers is playing for GFR's top team next year. Currently with the top team of another nearby club that has its own issues with a certain coach that's been the topic of multiple pages on another long thread.

For those who are not familiar with this...this is the Great Falls way. Has been this way for decades. Winning with ringers is more important than my own child developing. Just win. Be a champion. Even if you had to buy it.

One of their “guests” plays for pre academy in Arlington. The other pre-academy team was playing in the tournament and recognized her immediately. So the parent of that girl made a conscious choice to play her pre-academy child against the second lowest team in Arlington. We didn’t stay for the whole game but this guest started the first half and was never subbed out.

** this thread is making the rounds. Glad to see that other parents realize how terrible it is to sit out your home team for “guest” players.

The 2016 gfr A team was playing in the SAC Columbia tournament. So the guest players from that team played in the final with the 2016 green team when their own team didn’t make it to the final??

Would love to hear from any parents of any of the 4 regularly rostered players on this GFR team. I can sympathize with you and this team's overall experience - sounds like it has not been great, and maybe even fraudulently nothing that you anticipated or signed up for. But is there any defense for these actions from this coach/club? Just to not only win, but to dominate the lowest division? I'm genuinely curious to hear your thoughts.

You guys are creepy talking about 4th graders like this, even ones who choose (or their parents choose for them) to have social media

Fair. But you're reading this. And also commenting on this. So....what are we talking about here? Let's not pretend to care about these boundaries anymore. We blew past that wall a LONG time ago.

There was so much fallacy in the post made separately about this issue it was removed from DCUM so I'd caution you all from continuing this comment thread which is filled with so much inaccurate information once again because it will just get deleted or locked.
