| Williams at 43, Berkely at 48. |
| UVA is among the top 25 universities (#27 overall) |
all LACs seem too low tbh, is it my imagination or have LACs in general been falling across rankings? I remember Williams and Pomona frequently ranked 1 or top 5 in the past... |
| LACs are still prestigious but do not have the breadth of offerings if the larger universities. |
| This, AGAIN?? Seriously, who cares? The list is the same group of schools, no matter how you slice it. |
How is 27 among the top 25?
|
| Niche is not even remotely credible. About as credible as any of the random lists that anonymous users on DCUM put together. |

Niche is not nearly as credible as US News and the Wall Street Journal / Times Higher Education ratings & rankings. But, at least, Niche is smart enough to try to appear credible by listing the top 5 endowments in the top 5 spots and by keeping LACs out of the top 15 (which is fair even though many LACs are outstanding in one area while National Universities are much broader and more complex in their structure and mission).
Credit the Niche rankings for getting readers to think about Rice (#6). CalTech & Harvey Mudd are very narrowly focused schools. Overall, the top 16 universities in the Niche rankings are the typical, expected top 16 National Universities with a shuffled re-ordering. |
Because Pomona and Harvey Mudd are LACs... |
