If Pilates is your main / go-to exercise…

How do you feel about the results for your legs? I do a lot of barre (and LOVE what it does for my legs) but have tried some Pilates lately and really enjoyed it. I would say I like Pilates core work more than barre - but while the Pilates I’ve tried does incorporate glute work, I haven’t noticed much emphasis on legs…am I just not doing the right classes, or is it not much of an area of focus?

I realize this sounds like a ditzy topic lol. But I am actually interested!

I do Barre3 which incorporates barre and pilates (and yoga), hence the "3". We do a ton of floor work that focuses on glutes and hamstrings. The standing portion of the class has an equal emphasis on core, quads, and upper body What I really appreciate about our instructors is that as we're doing each movement they explain the reasons for doing that movement, and which muscles we're using to do that movement.

I've been doing Pilates for about 3 years and have developed great leg muscles -- only noticeable when I flex them.
