Youngkin supports full abortion ban

Thank you to all those mom who elected this man because you were mad your kid had to wear a mask. And before you start screaming I know how hard it was to have kids home, and I also think schools closed far too long. But I also knew that were were in a GLOBAL, ONCE IN A LIFETIME PANDEMIC!!!

But thanks to your short-term thinking (and let’s face it, prejudice) VA has is taking away women and girls rights. Gay marriage is next, followed by interracial marriage…

I'm actually ok with this. This will turn VA into a full blue state. None of this waffling purple state stuff. When people show you who they are, believe them

Many of us thought this when Trump ran, that Hillary was a shoo in. Politics isn’t a sport.

This is only a big deal to the fringe, parents will just continue to teach and supply birth control. Maybe we should teach that in school oh we do

The only saving grace is that in 2025 he will be out of office and HOPEFULLY, a Democrat will replace him. Our focus now should be on retaining majorities in the Senate and winning back the House

OP, your thread title and comments are very misleading. I watched the entire interview and that is not even close to what Youngkin was saying.

You are not listening.

He says he’s pro-life and thinks life starts at conception. Without the Ds in the Senate he would ban abortion - and likely many forms of birth control.

Were you one of the idiots who didn’t think he’d go after abortion even after he clearly said he would?

Luckily for OP, the governor doesn't make laws.

Didn't he propose a ban after 15 weeks?

This seems like a political miscalculation on his part. There is a little support for a full ban on abortion.

How would the governor ban abortion? Be specific.

He clearly indicates that he would sign any law the legislature sent him if both houses were Republican.

Don’t be obtuse.

He would sign a ban if a bill gets through the GA. That’s why he mentions the Senate.

Does full abortion ban include BC, since so many republicans consider it an abortifacient?

He obeys the will of the legislature? He sounds like Hitler.

Maybe not the first time around, but they've clearly signaled that it's their intention. When people tell you who they are, believe them.
