Age guy wants to play down on an A team and be a general pain in the ass for clubs.Theres a reason leagues dont allow playing down. Clubs will remember again to not allow Aug birthdays to play down. Unless they want to play down on a B team. Which people like age guy will never choose.
You do know playing up to play with friends isn't an option in DMV so you comment isn't relevant.

Its not about "playing up to be with friends". Its Aug/Sept/etc birthdays playing on their correct grade in school team. You're not playing on a team where 90% of the players are a grade older or younger. Your playing on the team where 90% of the players are in your grade in school.

What this means is some Aug birthdays will need to play up to be on the correct grade in school team and others won't. It all depends on when their school district started school.

This is why SO many people criticize you. You want to make his comment about grade. It could be why OR maybe it's not. Honestly, if it were, he probably would have said so. Just let him share HIS story. Don't make everything about your pet issue.

Its always about grade in school. Ignore it all you want but this is how the world works.

- Grade is the reason for switching from BY to SY
- Grade is the reason college coaches want all players the same grade per team when recruiting.
- Grade is the reason clubs don't want HS players on middle school teams

And on and on.

You know a big chunk of players aren't playing HS and playing on their age team makes perfect sense in 9th grade. I could go on an on why all your points have excpetions where flexibility and case-by-case situations are needed and BEING used.

No that is a lie.

Almost every club player chooses to play HS soccer.

False, and often not allowed.

There story is about playing with friends. "He'd be on a worse team and not even be with the kids he knows."

Again, you try to turn everyone's comments into your own personal vendetta to try to shame August kids into feelimg guilty or pressure them to make a decision to hurt them but help you. It won't work in DMV, can't choose to play up.

Age guy wants to play down against younger players.

Actually when you force kids to play up, you give a bunch of older players a chance to play down against them.

Hold your Aug birthday kid back in school one year and everything is resolved.

Ahhh no I haven't.

All Aug/Sept birthdays should play on their correcr grade in school team.

I just focused on top teams to annoy age guy and because they will be the first ones for everything.

Hold back on education for sports? Really? Are you sure? Especially when it's not needed (thanks Nationals ECNL guy for explaining how it can work).

Nope you're fibbing. You've conceded how people/clubs aren't following this for a long time. Until this moment.

There's no "age" guy. Just case-by-case people -- which IS the reality.

You can't just hold your kid back and play down. It's still based on when your kid was born.
