| Do you agree with this saying? |
| Yes. Left a job and colleagues I liked very much for this reason about 10 years ago and might be headed that way again. |
| yes |
| Absolutely |
| Unless it is a money thing |
| yes that's so true |
| Disagree. Many people leave good jobs with good bosses for better opportunities. |
|
I am leaving my job for more money.
But I only stated looking because I got an awful new manager. |
| Yes, generally true. So many people should never be managers of others. |
| As with any absolute, sometimes it’s true and sometimes it’s not. |
|
I agree, I’d leave a bad manager for less money.
I may leave a good boss for more money but less likely |
| No. I was burned out and tired of the company politics. My manager/exec was my only saving grace. I stayed way longer than i should have because of him. Im lucky I guess. |
Sounds like you are proving the OP’s point. You stayed b/c you like the manager. |
| I did! |
|
I really liked my supervisors in my last job but the job itself was awful. They did their absolute best but had trouble retaining people, it was a tough place to work.
I’ve been at my current job for 9 years now and don’t like management nearly as much. I like my immediate colleagues very much and I like the actual job so it’s easy to tune out the management, since they are a little removed from us in the day to day work. |
