Where in the world is the Super Bowl thought of as a family program.....??!

For children, they can watch the Puppy/Kitty Bowl.

There is a television rating system that should have been used to warn parents about the suggestive content.

Right, because as Americans, we are cool cool cool with the violence that we know leads to debilitating and chronic brain injuries.

But dancing?!?!? NOBODY WARNED US!!!! Where is the manager?

Great quote:

"The policing of Black and brown bodies is as old as slavery and colonialism itself. Our bodies have long been regarded as dangerous weapons that lure otherwise faithful white men from their marital beds; our wombs serving as thieves of government checks stolen from more deserving citizens; our curves are dangerous distractions that serve only to pollute the innocent minds of young boys and girls. Where the Black and brown man’s body is a symbol of criminality and violence, our bodies — and how we move and dress them — have historically been labeled as having more sinister and vulgar intentions."

Also:

"It is the kind of rage that easily unites white women with misogyny under the guise of family values and moral preservation and protection. And it is entrenched in racism and cultural ignorance."

If it helps you to sleep at night to categorize all white women who didn't love the Super Bowl performance as racist 'Karens' and 'Beckys', than so be it. You are narrow-minded and ignorant in your stereotyping though. I don't care if it's Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, J-LO, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Brittney Spears, etc. Miley Cyrus was disgusting at the VMA's years ago. Color does not matter at all in this situation to me but I realize some individuals no matter what will always find a way to throw race into it.
Where was the outrage? There was none. Yet, when it's two non-white women we get a 70+ page thread about these two "scantily dressed women".

There was a ton of outrage against Miley Cyrus at the time. You choose to forget because you see everything as racist and unfair to only people of color. To you, all white women are Karens and Beckys are are racist. How narrow minded is that?! You've made up your mind. We see you flinging race into every topic on here but not everything is about race- https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2402415/Miley-Cyrus-VMAs-Parents-label-performance-sexual-exploitation-20-year-old-tried-shed-Disney-image.html

There are definitely racist posters here who didn't like the performance. For example, the PP a few pages back who insisted that two "anglo" women would have done a better job than JLo and Shakira.

Shakira and JLo showed a lot of insecurity about their womanhood and latinhood.

Two regular anglo dancers from Las Vegas could have done what they did, and better.

I dont detect any jealousy in your response. None at all

So negative opinion automatically equals jealousy?

Adam Levine 7 pages, J Lo and Shakira 68 pages. So in this case yes

But Adam levine ain’t got the curves!

Show us some pics of Levine pole dancing in his underwear.

Show us some pics of JLo and Shakira topless

Once again, if you can’t admit that a man going topless and a women going topless are not the same thing, there is no rational conversation to be had. Since when is a mans bare chest considered a private part?

You dont think him taking his shirt off was sexual? Why do YOU think he took it off?

It's very hot under the lights.

Simmer down, it is a legitimate point.

To be fair, the Miley Cyrus performance being referred to was the VMAs which has a completely different viewing audience than the Super Bowl halftime show. But plenty of people complained about it.

Yeah, as well as the pp who keeps referring to white women as Karen and Becky, they are racist too. Can you imagine if one started referring to all black women on here as LaToya and Shaniqua. Such a double standard.

PP. I'm sorry, but you don't understand what "Karen" references. It's not a term for white women in general; it has to do with certain attitudes and behaviors.

No, because I'm not going to go back and search for 80 pages from 7 years ago but I'm sure there were a ton of people talking about it. You just can't possibly believe that white women might also have people outraged at their behavior.

There wasn't. I searched. There is a thread about how great of a singer Miley is.

^^ BTW, when you search you don't actually scroll through each page, you type in the search bar. Another way to search is "miley dcurbanmom.com" in google.

Whatever happened to Girl Power????

How ironic that Kobe died a hero (even though) he was once accused of rape, yet Shakira and JLO are considered slutty and trashy for providing some good entertainment for mostly men at a FOOTBALL event??

That performance helped justify Kobe's old behavior.

If women see themselves as flashy sexual objects, how can men object?

Really? So women are blamed for rape.
