I see MAGA trying to downplay and normalize this event. I see you trying to normalize MAGA.

Laughing at your own depravity shows us you’re fine fine with it.

How does giving a big middle finger to the country serve America?

I'm lost on that one. It doesn't fix or solve anything, it just further divides and angers and breaks things.

That only weakens and damages America even more.

JD says we all have to stop “being so offended.” In other words: he agrees with everything they said: Jewish people are cheapskates, something something Black people and watermelons, Latinos have too much procreative sex, the implication that all women are pretty just hookers no matter who they are or what they do. JD agrees with all of it, as does Donald when you consider that he hasn’t bothered to say anything.

Someone told bad offensive jokes at a political rally!

Suddenly lax border enforcement, higher crime and rising inflation don’t seem to matter so much.

The article says the joke was ad libbed. The Trump campaign didn’t know about the joke.

Regardless, just as the Trump advisor said in the article, this joke offended people who weren’t going to vote for him anyway. It’s part of the outrage cycle liberals generate around virtually everything Trump does.

Uhhh sure... and any Puerto Ricans who were registered Republicans are just fine and are going around saying "LOL I love it when I get called a piece of garbage. So funny!"

And every last black Republican is totally cool with a white guy making crass watermelon jokes about them...

Nope.

A Trump advisor would say that, because he's trying to smooth over a shit storm. But what he said is not even remotely reality.

You don't know any first or second gen immigrants with a sense of humor who actually laugh and agree that the country they fled from is a corrupt dump? I know Italian, Russian, Mexican, Cuban, Iraqi, and Indian immigrants who mock where they're from. There's a reason they left...

Puerto Rico is this country, FFS.

PR is its own country.

Incorrect. But on point for MAGA Moron. PR is not considered to be an independent country. It is a US territory. For example, they pay US taxes and the US conducts its foreign policy.

Read and learn.

Or something that gets a few lefty news outlets riled up for a couple of days before they move on to the next thing.

We’re a week out from the election, not a month. And early voting is happening in many swing states. It only takes few days or people heading to vote early while angry. The margins are really tight. It’s not swinging millions of voters. 30,000 angry PRs heading to early vote yesterday and today in PA may be all we need.

This. The PA electors were decided by less than 100,000 votes in 2020.

Also even if you think what happened at MSG is fine, Trump's own campaign knows they screwed up. They NEVER apologize and they've not only apologized but distanced themselves from the comedian. That tells you all you need to know about what a mistake this was.

People are offended because the "jokes" were told at an official political rally for a presidential candidate. The comments were offensive, not funny.

Meanwhile, the vice president held a rally in Houston, Texas, on Friday which was also her largest since she became the Democratic nominee. Her campaign estimated that the rally drew a crowd of around 30,000 people.

Trump has averaged crowd sizes of about 5,600 across the 28 rallies (with capacity information) he has appeared at this year until mid-August, according to analysis from the Crowd Counting Consortium, a joint project of Harvard Kennedy School and the University of Connecticut.

Between July and mid-August, Harris appeared at six rallies, with an average crowd size of about 13,400, the analysis found.

It was not a “joke”. It was a racist tirade.
