Yes this is a 5 year plan. There will be no change of course. The Great Leap Forward is happening! |
Fool, if his backers make him change course, he'll just spin it so you think it's a good thing. You haven't heard real news in probably a decade. |
Yes, life will be wonderful with <checks notes> zero bananas or coffee. |
What Trump and the republicans are doing is communism. Big government control of the economy. |
This just doesn’t feel sustainable. He’s clearly not fit. He makes no sense and his sycophants keep mindlessly propping him up. |
This needs to be trumpeted more loudly by the media. This is literally state central planning of the economy. It would make Mao blush. |
China faces losing a strategic port in the Southern Hemisphere as Australia on Friday vowed to bring Darwin Port under its ownership again.
Landbridge Group, which was awarded a 99-year lease contract to operate Darwin Port in Australia's Northern Territory in 2015, told Newsweek that "the Port is not for sale." Landbridge Group is reported to have connections to the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese military. |

You don’t turn 40 years of US corporations sending manufacturing jobs overseas on a dime. There will be a lot more people on food stamps soon enough - oh wait, that program has been cut.
The reason those jobs went overseas in the first place is because wages in the U.S. are too high to maintain a profit margin on manufactured goods. And for many years, corporates also got a tax break for moving the jobs. So as of this week, the government is demanding that corporates - whose stock prices are decimated - to build new factories immediately in the U.S. and hire people here at South Asian salaries. The manufacturing sector would need Harry Potter’s magic wand to do that. The answer to improve American training, employment and purchasing power is education to create tech experts with good salaries at scale. But wait, education just got cut too. If you’re hoping for a rational explanation of all this, it will be tough to find one, other than that breaking a people makes them easier to control. |
Trump is going to do the same thing he does every time: he’s going to keep moving the goal posts so no one can ever end this stuff. It’s the same play he uses all of the time with congress.
Trump jumps into things and never starts anything with the end in mind. He’s a joke of a businessman and he has no strategy |
I'd say the "answer" is to share the enormous profits that corporations reap using cost effective offshore labor with the American people. America (as a country) enabled billionaires to globalize their companies and make money. Americans should share in this wealth generation. Minimum wage should be a living wage, there should be guaranteed basic healthcare, housing, and living wage. |
