Please provide examples of how Biden is "far to the left"? I am curious because the only issue that Biden seems more left than Trump is on the environment (and maybe the right for women to have freedom over their own bodies if viewed as "left" although most Americans agree with him on this).

Support of Ukraine = centrist
Support for Israel = centrist/conservative
Immigration = now taking similar actions as Trump
COVID relief = not any more costly than the Trump stimulus & tax cuts

It’s like we’re being asked to suspend reality.

Biden is proposing to eliminate IVF and ban abortion? Sounds like something you heard on OAN.

I never said that. But these things are falling under his administration. Do you seriously thing things will be improved if things are eroding now? What will he be able to accomplish on these issues if we give him 4 more years?

So under Biden thing are “under threat” and “falling” so let’s put the Christofascists in charge of the entire Executive Branch because things can’t get worse? Is that really your analysis?

You must be a troll.

Not a troll. I just keep hearing how electing Biden will put a top to some of these things that are falling apart. I want to know how things are going to improve when they look worse and worse now. I’m not giving my vote to the Orange One but I’m perplexed by people saying under Biden things will change and improve. So far the only so-called argument is that the other guy is worse. Not a very compelling.

States are doing these things. Biden doesn’t control the states. We have a federal system. He is stopping republicans from banning abortions and IVF at the federal level. And they will do that if Trump is elected.

This is the first reasonable answer in a long time. It will take bipartisanship at the federal level. Can Biden achieve that next term?

It doesn’t take bipartisanship. Just his veto pen to stop republican bans.

Alito and thomas WILL RETIRE if/when Trump ( or whatever republican if by some miracle Trump isn’t the nominee) is elected. The republicans will shove in some 38 year fed soc douche bag nut job. So at a minimum Trump will appoint 2 more justices. So what is that going to do for women’s rights to healthcare? Or any other basic right we’ve enjoyed for the last 50 years? Cause the republicans are coming for all of it: birth control, gay marriage, voting rights… ALL OF IT.
*Getting super tired explaining this to “democrats”.

If he has 50+1 senators willing to break the filibuster for it, or 60 senators willing to go along.

Trump won’t need to appoint any more judges to ban abortion. The evangelicals he relies on already have a plan to reinterpret the Comstock Act, which is an existing law, to ban all abortions. All they need is for Trump to win and abortion will be illegal nationwide.

Yes.
But but but “Golly gee! I’m just your typical democrat voter who just doesn’t see what difference another Trump presidency makes!”

Pretty much everything.

His focus on green energy at the expense of the American people.
His willingness to allow millions of illegal immigrants from countries all over the world enter our country.
His position on Title !X at the expense of girls and women.
His transfer of student debt to the American people who did not take out the loans instead of looking at the root of the problem.

This is just a start.

Wow maga going to maga. This guy is like a puppet repeating 1/2 thought out republican talking points and propaganda. The Ukraine was blocked by a few maga house members and Biden’s number tanked as soon as he landed in Israel. Israel is the antithesis of American values. Hugging that RWNJ in Israel lost Biden the election.

Support for green energy - yes, that is viewed as a progressive stance but it’s supported by a majority of Americans. https://www.pewresearch.org/science/2022/03/01/americans-largely-favor-u-s-taking-steps-to-become-carbon-neutral-by-2050/

Immigration - he tried to pass a bipartisan bill which contained measures supported by the GOP but Trump convinced them to vote against it so he can continue to use the issue as a wedge in the election. Meanwhile there are tons of reports out demonstrating it’s immigration that has helped the Us stay out of recession post COVID. And he has just taken executive action.

Title IX - yes, here he may be left of center. But this is not a huge issue for most people.

Student debt - yes, again left of center and I agree this was stupid. He should be going after university tuition esp the schools with huge endowments.

On foreign wars and support of military manufacturing he is definitely aligned with traditional republicans. He has not added Supreme Court seats or tried to impose age restrictions. So all in all I don’t think he is “far left”

Yeah, a lot of “Democrats” on this site look like and sound like Republicans.
