Biden was elected to be a moderate. His presidency went off in a totally different direction…far to the left of the electorate as a whole.
Please provide examples of how Biden is "far to the left"? I am curious because the only issue that Biden seems more left than Trump is on the environment (and maybe the right for women to have freedom over their own bodies if viewed as "left" although most Americans agree with him on this). Support of Ukraine = centrist Support for Israel = centrist/conservative Immigration = now taking similar actions as Trump COVID relief = not any more costly than the Trump stimulus & tax cuts
Pretty much everything. His focus on green energy at the expense of the American people. His willingness to allow millions of illegal immigrants from countries all over the world enter our country. His position on Title !X at the expense of girls and women. His transfer of student debt to the American people who did not take out the loans instead of looking at the root of the problem. This is just a start.
Support for green energy - yes, that is viewed as a progressive stance but it’s supported by a majority of Americans. https://www.pewresearch.org/science/2022/03/01/americans-largely-favor-u-s-taking-steps-to-become-carbon-neutral-by-2050/ Immigration - he tried to pass a bipartisan bill which contained measures supported by the GOP but Trump convinced them to vote against it so he can continue to use the issue as a wedge in the election. Meanwhile there are tons of reports out demonstrating it’s immigration that has helped the Us stay out of recession post COVID. And he has just taken executive action. Title IX - yes, here he may be left of center. But this is not a huge issue for most people. Student debt - yes, again left of center and I agree this was stupid. He should be going after university tuition esp the schools with huge endowments. On foreign wars and support of military manufacturing he is definitely aligned with traditional republicans. He has not added Supreme Court seats or tried to impose age restrictions. So all in all I don’t think he is “far left”
