Best traction at the Ivies?

Which of the “Big 3” independents has the most traction in students admitted to the Ivies, especially HYPS? Ten years ago people would have said Sidwell, but now the buzz is all GDS. what about Cathedral schools?

You are odd but STA has a many decade pipeline to Yale. 7 one year, I think 5 this year, and goes back as noted.

Your best bet at an Ivy is to move to rural Mississippi so your kid can be valedictorian.

There are 500+ HS valedictorians in Mississippi each year.

Who wants another indoctrination group think experience at an Ivy? Way better experiences to be had elsewhere. Employers have taken note of what’s churning out of them too. Not good.

Yep.

The privates have a helluva lot more Ivy legacies/parents that are Ivy alums. Most at Ivies play a sport. That combination is winning.

I'd agree with you if it were 1995 - not so much these days

And they have a much better chance of getting into an Ivy than a kid from the big 3.

The child is the best traction. If your child is Ivy League material, it won’t matter if they go public, private or homeschool! The end!

In any given year, my guess is that Big 3 schools are sending at least 50 graduates to Ivy League schools.

This is all speculation as no school has released a full list yet. Also, I doubt the college lists are that different in the scheme of things.
