38 weeks on Monday. How to bring on baby?

Any tips or tricks you swear by for going into labor?

Doctor has given me the go-ahead, baby is already 7lbs and I am trying for a VBAC which means no induction.

Sex, spicy foods...what else?

I got nothing. I was induced 2X at 42 weeks.

My two labors that I rushed both ended in cs. My VBAC, where I skipped all the stress of “trying” to make baby come was my natural vagina birth.

You are about to enter an experience that requires a ton of trust in your body. Why not start with trusting your baby and your body to work together to start labor at just the right time. In my experience as a birthing mom x3 and doula, this makes a huge difference. The stress of sitting around trying to activate the process keeps you tense. Does the opposite. Just my opinion.

The only thing that works is nipple stimulation. Pump if you have a pump.

Thanks this is a really good reminder for me. I had a c-section first time because baby was breech and I'd really like to have a vaginal birth, but I'll take your wisdom on trusting my body as best I can!

I walked for MILES on Saturday and Sunday and had baby #3 at 38 weeks on the dot. It probably helps that I had baby #2 at 38+2 as well. But baby #1 came with an induction at 41+1. Its all a crap shoot.

I walked a lot and did the Miles circuit. Last pregnancy had a membrane sweep. Until baby’s ready nothing is going to make it happen though. Good luck!

Castor oil. Walk a lot, but with one foot on the curb and the other in the street.

Tried everything. Curb walking, miles circuit, nipple stimulation. Only thing that seemed to work was membrane sweep at 40+3. Went into labor 12 hours later.
