Is Christian nationalism to blame for mass shootings?

One theory - embraced as recently as yesterday on The View - is Christian nationalism is causing these mass shootings. Along with trump, it’s popularity is increasing, especially in Texas.

Anyone else think this is what’s up?

Well, the GOP does run on Jesus, guns, and babies.

Please define "christian nationalism".

Most of the descriptions I encounter are basically anyone who is a Christian, is patriotic, and has conservative views.

Is that what Christian nationalism is? If no, I dont think they are threatening us with anything other than invitations to their church or their BBQ.

I think Christian nationalism and mass shootings are a correlation issue and not a causation issue. Under educated white men who haven’t done much with their lives and want to blame something or someone besides themselves. Add a dash of mental illness and right wing peopaganda and two results are violence and Christian nationalism.

Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority is the root cause of every problem in the USA.

Yes, absolutely, there is a connection. Read, Jesus and John Wayne:

Also, https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/god-and-guns/
Studies abound showing the correlation between White Christianity and gun ownership.

Yes that is how I see the USA these days. We Re basically fighting our own Taliban for the right to live free from Fundamentalist Christian values/law.

This has been obvious for years. These fundamentalist christians literally believe that COVID vaccines are the fabled “mark of the beast” and that global communism is a force and tool of Satan to control us all and keep is from Jesus.

We should pay attention and be educated about what these evangelical Christians have planned for all of us.

The taint of Evangelical Christianity, which appears to border as much as ISIS does to Islam, in its fantaticism.

It will take traditional conservatives to band with independents and democrats to end this. If it doesn't happen this fall and the R's take the House, our republic will end.

Pretty simple.
