| I have a 4th grader. When are the SOL scores in? |
| At our school, with report cards on the last day of school. |
| Our school said they will mail them the week of June 13. |
| Ours comes with report card or mailed the week after. |
| Ours said nothing till early August. |
| Just got an email saying mid-July. |
| This is so dumb that ES withhold the results. They get the scores next day. |
| You can call and ask, they have the scores. |
| Don't they send home a sheet with their rough scores on the last day of school? Then you get an official letter over the summer. |
I agree. And these schools that wait until July or August....wtf? The date is THERE, why are we making parents wait to long to access it? |
|
*so long...
typo, sorry. |
| I’m confused, do we care or not care about SOLs? It’s constantly changing on DCUM. |
Depends on the parent. SOLs are used at my school for LIII and Advanced Math placement, so some parents care. I am interested in knowing how my kid did because it is a data point. And, to be frank, if the school has the information I think it should be shared with the parents. And I think that there should be a consistent policy on releasing the info, if you are telling the HS and MS kids, tell the ES parents. |
| We are moving out of state this summer and I need the SOL scores for placement purposes at my kids' new schools. I emailed the principal and she said I would have to wait until July when they get loaded to ParentVue. She then went on to say that I probably wouldn't have access to ParentVue anymore by July and I would have to call FCPS for the scores in July. Sigh. |
That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard and I would consider going over that principal's head. The scores are literally right there in front of them and they're refusing to give them out. |
