If you’re plus size, what are you wearing this summer?

After living in leggings for most of two years I have no idea what to wear anymore. Don’t have to worry about office clothes, but going out and doing things on the weekend. It’s almost like I don’t even remember what I used to wear. Skinny jeans and hip length tees/blouses I guess but that’s way out of style now. I’m a size 16w and XXL to 1x.

I live in dresses. I like ones that cover my upper arms and are loose around my stomach. Love this one https://www.tnuck.com/lilac-finley-flutter-sleeve-dress-0.html

Knit dresses and capri length leggings

Do NOT wear capris and tunics. They look not look flattering and will make you look old.

get appropriate length shorts and t-shirts that are not super oversized

Dresses that are knee length are good as well

The biggest mistake we make at the higher sizes XL and XXL is to wear baggy, flown stuff that just increased our visible girth

I hope more people respond to this thread and provide links/pics! -NP

I wear a lot of dresses in the summer for work. I look presentable and can still get things done. Talbots has some shirtdresses that aren't bad and I do a lot of wrap dresses.

Does anyone have casual wrap dress suggestions?

That doesn’t work for pear-shaped women.

I'm a pear shape, size 18 in pants but 14/16 on top. I wear ankle length curvy jeans from Talbots now. When it gets warmer I'll switch to my Eddie Bauer curvy Bermuda shorts, which are an 11 inch inseam (so, mid thigh). I wear both with Lands End cotton v-neck tees, in size Large/Tall because I have a long torso.

I wear dresses to work, but not for casual wear.

Well definitely NOT this!

I wear dresses 99% of the time. The other 1% is if I'm hiking with family or doing something else sporty and I'll wear shorts.
