| How would you rank the schools here and why? |
| Oakcrest |
| What does feminist mean in this context? |
I would say NCS and Holton |
^ Different people have different ideas as to what “feminist” means these days. I think you’ll need to clarify what you’re looking for, op. |
| Holton + NCS |
|
The coed DC/MD ones with girls who are best at sports.
Coed DC/MD ones where girls are just okay at sports All the ones in PG county. All girls schools. Va schools. All boys schools |
In the handmaiden style of feminism? |
Agree. Young women graduate from these schools with a sense of empowerment and go on to do amazing things. I suggest reading their alumni magazines to get a sense. |
| OP: bell hooks feminism |
| Seton |
No, radical feminism. |
| NCS. I’m sorry we didn’t send DD there. |
| Some PPs have an odd sense of feminism. Why do you have to be good at sports to be feminist? And why do you think men can't be feminists? My boys are (and they go to a boys school right now). |
Hahahahaha. NCS might be, but STA is not. Teachers in the joint upper level classes blatantly favor the STA boys, especially the STA teachers. And did you know that until very recently, STA boys could attend Homecoming at NCS but NCS girls had to be invited to theirs? Feminist. Ha! |
