So disgusted by the story out of Florida of a 17 year old (now 18) who was driving his BMW at 151 mph when he rear ended a vehicle, killing all six occupants. Women who were mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/04/22/florida-teen-speeding-six-killed/ Somehow, the judge saw it fit to let the kid live under house arrest. A simple google search of his parents, Helena and Craig Galle reveal they are uber wealthy. He's an attorney with the audacious and cringey email handle of "pololawyer@aol.com" Blech. https://www.floridabar.org/directories/find-mbr/profile/?num=856568 They own homes in Florida, Florence, Italy and Maine. Check out their "modular masterpiece" in Maine: https://mainehomedesign.com/features/modular-masterpiece/#close They obvious spoiled their son in every aspect of the word, resulting in a teen who thought the world was created for him alone. I hope they are sued into poverty...but they won't be because people like them are never really left ruined by tragedies like this, while countless others are left in their wake. If you are financially successful and able to give your kids everything...do us all (and them) a favor and don't. Do your job and raise decent humans because the rest of us have to live in "their" world too. |

| What evidence do you have that he was spoiled? |
I'm sure it will all come out in court. But driving a BMW at 17 for starters. |
| Yeah, I think resell of a 2019 BMW M5 now clocks in around $85K. So more at the time of the accident. |
| What do you wanna bet that the family tries to hightail it to Italy. |
Huh? |
| Nothing like a good WaPo story that will come up on google anytime his college or employers search for him to wield a punishing blow. |
That's wishful thinking. That's for normal people. For this family, with all their wealth and power, dad will always find a way to give his son a leg up. This young man needs jail time. |
He probably can’t practice law in Italy. That having been said, a family with that many houses is probably hiding assets abroad. |

I'm trying to figure out if the parents' daughter is married to their son's defense attorney.
The article about their masterpiece home in Maine was published in 2020 and mentions their children age 16 and 28 at the time. So Noah was the 16 year old. This database shows four registered voters residing at their address in Wellington, FL: https://floridaparcels.com/property/60/73414332030100040 One is a 26 year old named Chloe Kessel along with a 29 year old named Julian Max Kessel. I wonder if Chole is their daughter. Isn't it a little inappropriate to have your SIL represent your son? https://thenetline.com/noah-galles-parents/ Or maybe Julian Kessel (again, their son's defense attorney), lives in their home? It's Florida, I realize, so anything goes, but it's intriguing. |
No, it’s not inappropriate to have a family member represent you. Why would it be? |
Just seems like the defense attorney should be able to maintain some level of perspective when it comes to negotiating, arguments, etc. More power to 'em. |
| I dont know. This could be any kid with a car. I don’t think his speeding has anything to do with money? |
Speeding absolutely has to do with money. Do you think this was the very first time he sped and was "caught"? I'm sure they've paid of dozens of speeding tickets, either from cameras or police pulling him over. If you have money paying a ticket isn't a big deal. If you have your teens pay for their own tickets, they learn to self regulate a bit faster. Especially if you take the car away after tickets. |
