No, it's not necessary. I know they're doing it (and have done similar things in the past). You're argueing to argue.

1st GA wasnt around when we did SY pre 2017

2nd You are lieing and making things up

Sorry I am not. People in the league are telling clubs/coaches what the rules WILL BE next year, who are telling parents. This is because they're deciding what clubs to be on (or to leave for other leagues). That's happening right now.

Keep your head in the sand if you want.

The Troll(s) on here have lost it, whether it be the endless age matrixes OR how ECNL leaders completely devastate what they've been saying for months. They are attacking everything/everyone just because. They really can't handle the truth.

Good for people standing up to them.

Your made up nonsense doesnt add up.

Theres almost no schools with a cutoff before 8/1. So the number of "trapped" players would be low.

May-July are now the youngest players under SY again theres no benefit to letting these players play down.

You are lieing and making things up.

The only thing your ECNL coach proved was that its necessary to play on your gade in school team for showcaes ie when youre in front of college coaches.

Sorry, there are tons of threads where you said not playing on grade makes you unrecruitable (your favorite word). No only did the ECNL shatter that, he explained how it can be a benefit. It's the scene in Good Will Hunting ... How about THEM apples!

Hes saying to play on grade for showcases. What do you not understand?

He also said an Aug birthday can play down at the same level (sophmore ) a second time. This allows them to be seen 2x at the most recruited level.

Heres the catch. If you didnt get recruited when playing on the correct grade in school team. Why do you think you'll get recruited playing a grade down? College coaches wouldnt be looking for your graduating year players when scouting at the sophmore level.

Because you have no idea how things work. These people do.

Everyone gets it but you age guy.

Ignore them if you'd like but it's reality.

Are you referring to standing up to age guy whos trying daily to find new ways to play older kids against younger ones?

Parents hold back a ton of summer birthdays for a variety of educational reasons and can legally do so. They exist are are the new trap players. Sorry you are so misinformed.

In the 2026–2027 school year, children born after August 1, 2010, will generally be entering 10th grade (Sophomore year) or 11th grade (Junior year), depending on their specific birth month and your local district's cutoff date.

2010s born after 8/1 are most likely to be Sophmores next fall or Juniors. Which is why below is mathematically correct.

No, I'm referring to the 2 constantly fighting about age matrixes and the poster trying bully people with anything they disagree with.

Bully how? With a matrix that is exactly the same as the one US soccer released?

If you are talking grade, they sure as heck can and you know it. You just want to change the rules. Not happening.

To be fair GA doesn’t even post their rules online anywhere old club directors get the info directly

It's just reality, dude. ECNL has similar exceptions for trapped players. MLSN does the whole biobanding thing.

But keep shouting at the clouds.
