So what I’m hearing is that DL isn’t as effective for your kids as in-person was, and they are only keeping their grades up because they are working even harder to make up for the deficiencies of DL.

Why are we constantly reaffirming the case that DL is not as good as in person? It's been discussed a million times. Everyone agrees that it's not. But in-person is not an option right now. Are you having trouble following the last 6 months of conversation?

And to all, NO ONE IS SAYING DL IS BETTER THAN IN PERSON. Literally, we can all agree it’s not. But school districts aren’t doing some grand experiment for funsies. There is a reason to be home right now and the reason is covid. This is the best that we can do for right now. And at this moment, when schools all over the world who were open are now closing back down in-person school due to rising cases and spread and hospital capacity, it is not the time to begin a return. It’s not.

Is there something that's stopping your child from having social interaction? Does she know how to use the phone? Does she know how to use the computer? Does she know how to use her little feet to go to someone's house? Does she know how to ring the doorbell?

School is not an option right now. So why don't you teach your sweet lonely child some of these techniques. Or is it that she has no friends?

I personally picked hybrid, but I’m not into stupid, “right now” hybrid that gets shut down again. The DL people didn’t feel like fighting with you. I have trusted APS to be smart about it. I hope they don’t cave to nonsense.

Imagine being that mean and nasty when your kid has literally finished the entire part of school that actually counts. second semester for seniors is capstone and that’s it. Most are accepted to a school by now. This mom has no dog in the fight any longer and hosts gatherings at her home yet comes here to talk to people like they’re trash. Says way more about her and her own issues.

That's just not true. Many posters here have said or very directly implied that DL is as good or better than in-person.

Exactly. We picked hybrid. I want my kids to go back as soon as they can - safely.

Not in the middle of a surge. And not without testing, filters, etc.
