Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 5

I think we should vote every sitting Senator and Congress-member out, impeach Trump, and get some decent people in government.

So Collins knows better than Justice Stevens?

The issue is there is never due process or juctice for women! Men just deny and everyone hollers “it’s false! He needs due process” which never comes... The rape kit sits untested. Rapists go unpunished. Life rolls on for men. They earn more for the same work, get promoted for having a dick, life is just hunky-dory for men. If women or minorities start to get ahead or are just even acknowledged, white men freak out and force Trump on is. F*ck you guys!

This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. The system is broken beyond repair.

You should have hope for the rest of the world. Violence against women is not a new issue - it's been going on for centuries. Finally, it is being recognized by the world body - and those stakeholders and policy decision-makers who can influence policy. The world is bigger than the US, and we look very ridiculous to that international community right now. Here is the headline:

Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad win 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel Committee has awarded the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize to Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad for their efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict.

This post is the type of absurd, accusatory comment that infuriates those who agree with Susan Collins and support her.

Her speech infuriated those of us who respect the Supreme Court.

Well it isn’t America under Trump until everyone in the US is angry. Suck it!

I would say in this case, yes.
She has done her research. She studied his past rulings. She met with him for over 2 hours. She talked to him, read all the background investigations, and actually got to know as much about him as possible.

I may be wrong, but I bet Justice Stevens has never met Judge Kavanaugh. He may be aware of his rulings, but I doubt he knows as much about him as Collins does. Stevens was basing his opinion on one incident. One in which Kavanaugh was passionately defending his reputation, his family, his livelihood, and his integrity. I think Collins was considering the man - all aspects of him.

Well on the bright side SNL will have great material for years to come.

I can see them trying to figure out how to put a keg under BK's robes as he sits on the court.

Or have a drunken BK making the moves on RBG while Thomas snickers in the background.

I just pledged $50 to her future opponent, assuming she runs again. It was cathartic. The total is currently above $2.2 mil, aiming for $4 mil.

You’re trying to buy a political seat of a senator? I don’t know what to say.
