Not trolling, the probability is looking high.

Based on what though? MLSN?

PDA and SLSG may get a slap on the wrist, but they’re not losing ECNL on the girls side.

Is this a one off or a legit trend.

Just as an FYI to others, FCD won a national championship last year on the boys side and has a solid, but not great girls program.

Sounds like GA material

It’s MLSNext, not MLSN. Get it right.

Boys > Girls

I mean I asked the question to get some inside info if we had a true Futballdamus. The girls team would dominate GA in a bunch of age groups, but I was wondering how hard MLS was pushing the change.

Push is coming from ECNL. Not MLSN. MLSN is sitting back feet kicked up collecting apps and checks. What ECNL is doing has little to now impact on MLSN. MLSN's market demand, especially from smaller clubs now with tier 2 has them SCURRRED, forcing ECNL to play hardball with some of their oldest, best established clubs who have this sweetheart deal. Compromises are happening, so some will keep it. Can't wait for Futboldamous to check in again, PDA Blue compromise seems spot on. BSC one seems more far fetched but they will have to compromise it appears to keep the sweetheart MLSN/ECNL combo.

What is the compromise?

Whatever happens BSC brass is choosing to do this so, and is only considering because ECNL is losing its foothold and made them choose their boys program. Either way there will new new ECNL badge in MD, to replace BSC or to punish BSC if they do not switch their boys to ECNL. Safe to say that no one is dropping MLSN for Ecnl boys. Change is coming either way

Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

So what if BSC, downgrades and goes all in on ECNL, that leaves room for MLSN to kill come in, and kill off BSCs boys program.

Which will hurt less?

NJ Match Fit Surf nee Academy announced a potential promotional leave for NA ECNL division. It would likely be a Maryland club or two would get a stab at that with a handful of NJ and EPA teams.

That info is on page 66 of this thread. Sorry it got buried under the Futballdamus dad-joke that hopefully fizzled out and all the false info about GA.

But thanks for keeping this thread alive since it's soooo valuable. Sarcasm warranted because it is clear that the only reason people keep posting here is to thread "Bethesda Soccer on Way Down" for anything from general info to disgruntled parents, gossip and lies. "Bethesda Haters Anonymous" is more like it so what's next?
