Smoked out implies he did something wrong. He didn’t.

Took him four days - FOUR DAYS to come out and admit that he personally signed off.

What do you mean "admit"? Didn't everyone assume he personally signed off? It would have been a shocker if he hadn't.

Wray was taking the hit, as was the judge. Again, why four days?

I HAVE ANSWERED ALREADY. What a troll.

And how many days did Trump have to return the stolen docs? Hmmm?

Why didn't Garland address the nation Monday?

He is not legally required to do so, my precious. He said today that he waited for Trump to talk about it first, which implies Garland would not have spoken if Trump had kept his mouth shut - it is the policy of DOJ to say as little as possible about active investigations as possible. But given Trump had his little whine-fest, and triggered morons like you, Garland decided he could give a presser. You'll notice that true to DOJ policy, he gave as little info as humanely possible.

And when YOU run afoul of the law, he will offer you the same courtesy.

Everyone who knows anything was assuming that the search warrant application for a former president’s house was checked out by the highest levels of DOJ. What exactly do you think you caught him doing today?

Garland had to come out and speak because so much misinformation was being vomited into the mediasphere.

For example, regarding whether Garland personally approved the search, Bill Arkin, who used to be a good reporter, wrote something for Newsweek claiming Garland didn't know the search was happening.

When you do something so unprecedented, you tell the American people why that day. Waiting four days allows misinformation to flourish.

Oh so now it’s the Attorney General’s fault that Republicans lie all the time? Neat.

Warrant will tell nothing. Affidavit is what's wanted.

So someone can shoot the agents who swore to it?

It’s not the 24/7 lies on Fox. It’s Garland not saying he approved the search a couple of days earlier so they maybe stop telling lies, or shift to a different lie. Makes perfect sense if you have a family of hamsters in stead of a functioning brain.

This whole thing is only unprecedented because a former president stole (and its stealing to take documents that are the property of the federal government) documents and refused to return them when asked and subsequently subpoenaed.

AGs (good AGs) act as they should as the top attorney for the American people and just do their job. That’s what Garland has been doing. He basically was forced to speak today because of the lies from trump and the attack on the FBI field office. He said only what was necessary and then spoke through the motion. It was nice to hear OUR attorney talking about equal application of the law.

Trump just jumped the shark and hired a criminal lawyer best known for representing rappers and social media addiction.

That was for a different crime. Not for this one.

It speaks to the quality of representation a former president (claiming to be a billionaire) can muster. Even Lindsey Graham was able to land Don McGahn.

Not with anything that made real sense though.
