Any this makes sense. Your response was much better than the person(s) saying that ECNL families have their schedules....because they don't. Maybe some do, but not all. |
This may have said it better but it was all said at one point or another. The problem was a particularly angry and entitled person did not want to hear any rational explanation. They were more interested in causing drama than finding facts. |

The girls schedule is out but not the boys. Totally understand the desire to have the schedules finalized before uploading. However, makes more sense to send out the fixtures by 7/30 and give the teams until 8/15 to get the times and fields sorted out. This would easily allow for a 9/1 posting on the website.
I wouldn't discredit the college coach's desire to see the schedule. Anyone who understands recruiting knows that you may have primary interest in a certain kid but stop by another field of a team / kid for which there is marginal interest - only to find out that's where your real interest lies or stumble upon another player on nobody's radar. Some of you parents are in this for the prospect of having your kid play at the next level - I'd advocate for any way possible for a coach to see a kid if he/she chooses - no matter how that comes about. |
I also don’t understand the defensiveness of posters about an item that every other league has solved. It is just odd. Why not expect better or different? Saying the league doesn’t really have any control over the dates doesn’t really make any sense - do other leagues have that control? In my experience, that is true of other leagues too. |
Do other leagues have to schedule roughly 14,000 games for 120 clubs representing 720 teams with around 13,000 players to register on the girls side alone? It is fine to expect more, but it is also reasonable to think about what goes into it before getting too upset about it. |
Because some of the ECNL moms and dads are so over-invested in their kids' (usually a girl) soccer persona that they view anything critical of ECNL (or pro GA) as somehow denigrating their kid's greatness. |

How many games will Loudoun Sucker Club will win this year?
10%, 15%, 20%? Really curious to know if te directors plan on actually earning their salaries or will they continue to phone it in? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA! |
As long as people are paying for the product, it's not really in your control or really concern. We don't play for Loudoun, but if my kid's team win's 20% of his games I'm fine with that - as long as they are mostly competitive games and he continues to grow as a player and person while enjoying it. Maybe your Focker family is planning on creating an eternal trophy room for all of Gaylord's minor youth accomplishments. We're not. |
Game. Set. Match. |
I think PP was trying to investigate the reasons an underperforming and ethically questionable club still exists despite the competitive and fierce nature of the NoVa clientele. |
Think we all know PP was just out to trash talk. Hundreds of kids are still playing for Loudoun. They make that decision at free will. |

The troll finally reveals himself! It’s FCV dad throwing shade at ecnl admins because he’s bitter about FCV not getting into ecnl. The random Loudoun shade is a dead giveaway.
Enjoy GAL! No one in ecnl is worried about the scheduling. |
Geez. Is this guy continuously calling Loudoun unethical coming from FCV? Kettle meet pot. What a hypocrite |
| Can we label him as “FCV Douche Dad”? |
| FCV is by far the best club for girls. Loudoun stinks and stocks are dropping daily. Arlington is over rated, McLean is under trained, VDA…meh. |
