Juneteenth a Federal holiday? What do you think?

They (the GOP) literally have no grounds to protest this.

Their arguments are that it should have been called a different day- emancipation day- and it’s kinda like the only argument. Some argue federal workers shouldn’t get another holiday, but this gives all workers (unless they are racists or retail) the ability to have another holiday.

I also suspect it will make third quarter sales very good- which is usually slower due and it should boost tourism.

Anyhow- it’s just racism at this point. Pure and simple racism.

You're right. Memorial day should honor all those who died in service for our country, military and civilian. That doesn't mean we should get rid of it though.

This is what they should have done this year! We had so many meetings we were scrambling to schedule. I also had a new hire accepting a position and we couldn’t get it done today. CIA, State, AID, and civilian DOD to name a few. Amb. Stevens (Benghazi) for example.
