Sorry if this has been suggested already Saint Columba’s in DC - motto Live God’s Love. Have friends from both parties who attend the church but the sermons are not overtly political. |

Also, Christian denominations are political -- that's why there are so many of them. Their ceremonies may be similar, but their politics, at least their politics when they broke away from each other, were very different. |
How is it political? I have been checking out sermons online and it doesn’t seem political. I would love to hear more since I am researching churches. |
| Hi OP, not sure if you are still looking. I made a similar post here several years ago and someone posted about 4th Presbyterian. My family joined the church for this reason. They also have excellent children’s programs. |
DP, but I have known so many happy 4th Pres families over the past few decades. People really love that church. |
They aren't political. Have people attending from all over the political spectrum. |
I think PPs confuse the sincerely held theological views of The Falls Church Anglican on hot-button issues like LGBTQIA+ issues and abortion with politics. Nobody's telling you how to vote at TFCA and, yes, people attend from across the political spectrum and have sincere disagreements about it. You'll also find at TFCA that they have a close partnership with Anglicans for Life (sometimes a little too close for my taste as a sphere sovereignty devotee). Yesterday they were advertising their giving to For the Nations DC, an organization that works with local refugees, in the bulletin. Some people can't understand how these committments stem from a church just trying to be faithful to the Bible without telling you exactly what Congress should do about that faithfulness or who you should vote for in the next election. -TFCA member |
