That sounds like them. I watched last week's SB meeting and those SB members (with the exception of Gentry) were so mild in their statements to Hutchings and central office about this mess. I found it telling that a couple of members brought up at that meeting that they didn't know about the all virtual after spring break plan until ACPS announced it. They obviously didn't bring it up in real time. So now it's all just a big mistake? That happened twice? That got coverage in the Washington Post? If this happened in the private sector, people would have been fired. I was pro staying at 6 feet and staying virtual after spring break but looking at all of this evidence, ACPS is severely mismanaged. Why are Hutchings and central office treated with kid gloves? |

Those parents don’t send their kids to ACPS. |
They do. And then they pretend that everything is fine at ACPS (instead of demanding that it actually be a decent district) so their housing values don't go down. I'm sure he also does plenty of favors for the private school parents too. Just ask Hutchings and SB Chair Alderton! They are private school parents after all. |
It's not just that they let him get away with his lies, it's that they defend the lies and cover for him. |
Yes and now ACPS announced that Board members will attend community forums on hybrid/reopening to further communicate Hitchings’ lies rather the perform their role as policy makers and providing direction and oversight. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2024863170986801&substory_index=0&id=281338075339328 |
This could only get better if they add some of the PTA apologists & go full gaslight on parents. |
