Ridiculous article says mayor has been advocating for schools to be open this entire time, which is a complete lie. Wilson is awful. Now where is all the haters against the Open ACPS now? We told you so. I hate to be right about stuff like this. No one wins, especially not the kids. |
Of course. It's an election year. Too little, too late and too obvious. |
And parents will vote for him in droves. ![]() |
Not if the schools don't open they won't. |
Oh they will. I'm already seeing the groveling thank yous on social media. And they need him as Mayor so he can push along their kitchen remodeling permits. |
okay well I can assure you teachers are opening their windows.... |
He really does lie his head off. I would have thought he'd (and his close pal Hutchings) learned from the housing on school grounds fiasco (I'm very pro housing on school grounds BUT I don't like the way they denied their plan and lied their heads off. It tainted the process). He also clearly thinks the electorate are morons to believe him on this and then vote for him. |
Yeah, probably. The election is before schools need to reopen, so this should be a top issue. You may not like Wilson, but I saw someone post this on OpenACPS earlier - the enemy of my enemy is my friend - which is a good reminder. At this point I don't about anything else in this city other than getting the schools open. Sorry - correction - getting the public schools open. Privates are doing just fine. |
+1 |
The problem with using that trope is that Wilson is a very close professional, political and personal ally of Hutchings. He is not Hutchings' enemy by any means. His new position on opening schools, after a year of closed schools, is politically expedient. |
That needs to stop. It's isn't equitable. There are students who don't have teachers who are opening windows. |
Probably the minimum wage monitors doing it ![]() |
The only thing parents should be saying to Wilson is "to late, next". Retain their political capital and power. Amazing how parents suddenly matter to these candidates. |
I agree. I'm a one-issue voter this time, which is not something I'd ever thought I'd say. |
School board 9 to 0 approved 3 feet and asking to incorporate it asap. |
