+1. I drive basically every day, but it's destructive. It's potentially dangerous in an immediate fashion and it's destructive to the planet. We all do kinds of things that are destructive in those ways. We should strive to reduce the amount we do those destructive things, and freaking out about being "judged" isn't the answer. |

OP, here.
This thread blew up way more than I could ever have imagined or desired. All I was really seeking was some general sense of influence that JustUpthePike has on MoCo policy. We have all seen how certain people and groups can muddle and disrupt policy decisions that can affect thousands to millions of residents. Such as Robin Ficker, Friends of the Capital Crescent Trail, or just a little further south, Friends of McMillan Park. Basically, if I decide to ride out the rest of my life in Montgomery County, a place that I was raised in since a toddle and have lived in for decadess, and it turned into this- Imma be ticked. https://twitter.com/SeattleMet/status/653998665992810496 |
| He only has one opinion and if you don’t agree with it then you are wrong. He had no children so he should not judge what is best done for children ( I/e mental health) In his public testimonies he comes across as a whiney brat. He opinions about “equality’” are one sided and only are what is best for his “neighborhood” and real estate deals. He judges and labels anyone who does not agree with him. He is a reverse racist. He hates anyone that is successful and worked hard to make it in this world. He is exactly the person who he preaches against. |
| Gosh I’m glad I just left MoCo. (Cue the DCUM ‘glad you left’ post). |
Things change, OP. Deal with it, or don't deal with it, it's up to you. |
|
MoCo.
The poster child for: “GO WOKE, GO BROKE” |
Keep dreaming, sweetie. MoCo is as prosperous as ever. |
Glad you left, too. A shame you couldn’t drag a few more trumpturds out with you when you left. |
Actually the budget is a borderline mess, and getting worse. Some of it is covid of course, but some of it is people fleeing, and the county being so anti business, that we dont backfill jobs that leave. Seventhstate has some recent articles showing how brutal the budget is right now. (though it calls for a tax increase to help, which is just unconscionable considering the state of the economy right now) |
Flee, dude, flee! And don't look back! (Or post on DCUM about it.) -the rest of us |
Just because you have those five friends on Twitter who like everything you post doesn’t mean you speak for most people in the county. |
says the anonymous poster on DCUM. Most people in the county have never heard of this guy or his blog. Or DCUM, either. |
| Who? |
This lmao |
Hey, Dan! Or Dan's partner - I forget your name. Good of you to stop by. |
