With a side of patatas bravas. The best!!

Pretty much any sandwich on the menu at Eventide in Duck, NC. I think my favorite might be the veggie sandwich on sourdough, or the Italian sandwich.

Box Lunch on Cape Cod has a sandwich called Porkey's Nightmare. Ham, three cheeses, mayo, Durkee's dressing, and onions on a wrap and melted. I was in Boston once and drove out to the only location open at that time of the year just for that sandwich.

The Woodmont deli in Bethesda has reliably good sandwiches. Not fancy or chi chi, but I like the staff; they hussle.

My favorite there is the Washingtonian!

The breakfast sandwiches from Lighthouse Bagels in Corolla, NC. Pork roll, egg and cheese on a French Toast Bagel. Heavenly sweet and salty combo.

In Belgium they have the best hang over sandwhich called a mitraillette. It is baguette or a large wrap, meat, lettuce/tomato/onion, sauces of your choice, and french fries. It is something you eat like once a year but it is amazing!

raspberry jam, melted brie and provolone grilled cheese sandwich on brioche. Had in Austin - some food truck. Ridiculously tasty.

Best sandwich is one where I see the meat more than the bread.
But, I prefer French bread, salami style meat. It's what some people would call an Italian sub but i put more into the sandwich. Also like the Vietnamese sandwich except they don't put enough meat in there.
