People with good to great marriages, how did you meet your spouse?

| We lived next door to each other our freshman year of college (co-ed dorm). We became friends right away and by spring of our freshman year we were in a relationship. Been together ever since...17.5 years. Our relationship has always been solid but gets even better with age. I think often about how lucky we were to have met. We’re both pretty introverted and don’t have big social circles. I doubt we would’ve met/gotten together/been outgoing enough to pursue each other if we hadn’t been neighbors-friends first. |

Work. He was in the department next to mine and was also singing when he walked through the newsroom. We had similar backgrounds and a ton in common. And it always helps when you do the same work and have similar mindsets. Married 30 years. |
