I grew up in NYC so while I agree it should be lovely, I can only hear it in my head with a strong NY/LI accent. Dawn is like that too. They're particularly bad. "LOOOORRRIIIN!!!" ugh. I know that is my personal hangup. |
You must read a lot of blogs. These are all pretty trendy. |

| My daughter has an Irish name: Maeve. She is the only Maeve in the entire school. A couple of other pretty names I haven't seen mentioned are Genevieve, Josephine, Kathleen(My youngest is Kathleen but goes by Kate). I have a good friend named Martha who goes by Molly. Martha is pretty for a name and Molly is a cute nickname. |
This is extremely popular amongst the UMC on the East Coast. I don't expect it will make national U.S. traction, but it has hit peak in certain demographics. Vivian is right there as well. |
I’m in Seattle suburbia and Sloan/Sloane is very common here too. |

I’m a mid-40’s Annie and get complimented on my name all the time. People seem dumbfounded that they don’t know many Annies.
Just saying. Great, unused name!

| I am reading this thread to rule out any name that surfaces here. Unique is a must. In fact, let me hit the books. |
| I think other posters mentioned it, but I love Susannah! It was my top choice for my second child if they had been a girl. The nicknames are great: sue, susie, zan, zanna, etc |
