Not sure I care right now that my kid is smoking weed

Anonymous
If I came across my kid smoking weed right now, I would take it from him and smoke it myself. I am an anxious wreck at this point of lockdown.

I'm so pissed, my kid is a month shy of 18 and got high last night in his room ( we live in an apt) I'm not even sure what/how he is smoking as it doesn't smell, maybe he is vaping. He must of gotten it from someone at work, as that's the only time he goes out.

I know if I confront him he is going to deny being high and get mad that I think he's doing drugs. I can't get my hands on the proof, his eyes are squinting and he has the munchies; he's just going to say its allergies.

I'm so disappointed he is making this decision to smoke pot. Yeah I am NOT going to have my quarantined house become unbalanced and have a yelling match and all of us upset. My husband and I have to work.

I don't need advise just venting.

These devil weed stories are a kick.

I wouldn’t either. But I’d also ask they keep it to a minimum, just at bedtime. And the mommy tax applies, they must share. I don’t normally partake, but might right now.

Is this true??

I would NOT be okay with this! Some of you parents are crazy!

Hahaha! I know probably 100 people who smoked week in high school and recently attended my high school reunion (McLean) and most everyone is pretty successful. I also smoked weed like a champ and currently eat edibles to sleep and somehow dont have schizophrenia. I even make an obscene income and am married with kids. Imagine that.

By your own admission you are a loser. Probably a bigger loser for doing it because of peer pressure.

Yes, I was a loser who made bad decisions and only by the grace of God I escaped my fate. I stopped as soon as I got away from bad influences and became a total square. Doing just fine.

The ones who still do it? Losers in life.

In all honesty you should like the loser.

So when you see/hear of a schizophrenic it seems like everyone is posting that its because weed triggered it? Puleeze
Don't you think maybe they took weed to stop some of the feeling they were developing.

Schizophrenia tends to become more apparent in late teens/early twenties. It’s easy to blame pot, prob feels better too, but likely not the cause of anyone’s uncle’s mental illness.

There is more to this story. Just because you don't know it, or because someone is telling you that there can't be (wife, parent, etc) it adds up in no universe.

PP sounds like a righteous thumper. People who are born again like that often need to find others to be "less than" to confirm that they have found THE WAY. Its seriously something that boggles the mind for me. Most 1st graders have more sophisticated reasoning and understanding of nuance than those folks.
