We matched for PK3 seat at Amidon Bowen. We are in bounds (no sibling) but they said they only have one PK3 class this coming year due to having too many K students and needing the room. I put it first, wishing I had tried to waitlist at Van Ness. Oh well. None of our other choices were really options (Tyler, Thomson, SWS) due to only having one car. It’s a solid option and we can walk, so I’m happy. Good luck everyone!

You can always add Appletree SW to your post lottery application.

Same for us! I’m done with this lottery and DCPS.

Actually not surprised, pk3 is hard to get a spot at many schools but they are all open seats. Sure ,dibs, in and such take a lot of spots but they are still empty seats from the start. Prk classes are not any larger than prk3 and most seats are filled with returning students, the dibs and in.
We also struck out on the lottery for prk but landed at a top choice for k. A few more seats are added for k so odds are slightly better.

Oh I guess I left that off my short list. We did put Appletree SW on the list. Without seeing the space and the history of them not securing their space for families last year, I didn’t rank them very high.

Matched at LAMB kingsbury (prek3) and cannot believe it! Did not expect to get anywhere on my top 8. Listed it as #1.

To those who didn’t have luck matching don’t forget you can do a second round lottery to try and get in somewhere for the fall. Had friends have luck doing it that way last year.

You should have put Burroughs and Lee on your list.

You need to decline the spot so it can go to someone else.

Two rivers #6
Tyler ES got in

What are our chances of her getting into two rivers?

your WL position may shift but 61 got into K last year, 24 the year before, 27 the year before. 👍

We won!
1- #35 at Mundo Verde cook (not impossible based on last year but unlikely based on prior years)
2- #4 two rivers at 4
3 - match at Mundo Verde Calle Ocho

On the fence but leaning towards two rivers for the better commute. Cook would be ideal. I can’t complain. Welcome advice.

(IB Thomson)

Not going to lie, I’m supremely shocked at our luck. Was certain we’d end up with our IB. I don’t suppose there’s any shot at Yu Ying with that number, right?

Wow! Congrats on ITS? Is this for PreK 3?

Thanks! And yes, pk3.

not likely but this year is historical so maybe. congrats!

Any chance for Breakthrough?

(This isn't my whole list.)

Matched for pk3 at Kingsbury and I can’t believe it. I thought it was such a long shot I did not attend the open house. So I guess I just believe the DCUM hype and enroll since visiting might be out of the question?
