I have to agree with this, all my daughter wants to do is play in college, if I have to move her as a junior to a mclean or bryc to make that happen I will. |

I had a daughter at BRYC when Larry was there, and if you were one of his favorites, he helped out some. But in general, the players are getting offers on their own, not because of the BRYC coaching staff. And based on conversations with those who are still there, it’s even worse now.
In terms of the best clubs for getting your kid an offer from a school that’s at the top of their range, hands down it’s McLean up here. Richmond also does a great job of helping their players out. FCV has an impressive list of schools but the coaches do not play as big a role in the offers; but to give FCV some credit, they do a great job of getting their players invites to NTCs and from there, national team camp invites, which directly plays a role in the quality of offers those players received. |
I have been at Braddock for a while, there has always been a few awesome teams and a few teams that don’t do very well. Let’s not also forget the DA was brought into the equation, this diluted the player pool even further in Northern Virginia. For any club in this area to be in ECNL’s top 25 clubs is surprising considering how diluted this area is. BRYC is getting more players to college than they ever have and that is what all of us as parents are looking for. We pay a lot of money for our kids to play travel from u9-19, getting them to college is the end goal |
For what it is worth we actually have 14 D1 commits in our 2020 class at BRYC , the coaching staff helped my daughter in any way they could, we as a family are thankful for what the club has done for our daughter. |
Tyler Mishalow is an amazing coach. He has done an amazing job getting our team recruited. |
| What club has the most 03s committed? |
Yes, the change in the landscape is what I was referring to. Although, to be fair, BRYC has only been in the ECNL for a couple of years. |
This is actually an example of how BRYC is falling. Yes a lot of kids are going DI, but how many are going to good soccer programs? There’s only one player going to a power 5 school and she committed while at another club. There’s only one player whose college team made the NCAA tournament this year and she committed while at another club. One player is going to an Ivy, but FCV and McLean(x2) can claim that also. When you look at the quality of programs where players end up, BRYC does worse than FCV, McLean and Richmond. |
Larry did little to nothing for the girls who are being recruited right now. He'd been collecting a check for the last couple years prior to leaving... |
BRYC Girls Conference standings: U13 10th (out of 11) U14 6th U15 11th U16 9th U17 1st U18/19 2nd Wanna re-think that sinking ship theory? |
The bulk of those girls should be thanking their original clubs for developing them, all BRYC did was give them exposure via ECNL... |

BRYC v Loudoun today
15s 1-0 16s 2-0 17s 4-0 19s 3-0 Sinking ship? |
So they have the top teams when it matters. Cool |
+1 |
That'll work for this season and next... |
