Theyre in 1st place now. Aaron Bruner develops

Macintosh is coaching that team. It was never in first place under Brunner. That's not a comment on Brunner, but just a correction of the statement. I don't think he's had that team for a couple of years now.

He’s the director. He works with the coaches and design the framework of developing players. Not only is his 03s great so are the other age groups. Stop being a blubber and move on. Your team sucks compared to Richmond and McLean.

You are overinflating his contribution, which fits because he would too, but he's not that deeply involved. They aren't his 03s, and you saying that shows you are either ignorant or a kiss a**. This is the first year that team has ever been number one, and that came with their current coach, Andy Macintosh, who is a great coach.

Go start a richmond forum and argue there.

No argument that Andy is a great coach. Aaron brought him on and they’re doing well together. Aaron is at all the practices and games. Great director. liked and respected by his colleagues.

If you say so. I know parents on that team who would say that Aaron is not involved in that team the way you are saying and that the reason for the difference is Andy. He has changed the team around some too and some players aren't playing the same positions or amount of time Aaron did. Andy has made changes to the team, and he has worked on team building with them.

Aaron is respected because the man knows soccer but not well liked across the board, which is fine. You don't have to be everyone's best friend. It's the overselling you are doing for no reason it all that is impossible to ignore. Aaron is coaching his own teams.

And Andy was already in Richmond involved with the Kickers initially and Richmond United once the merger for the DA and ECNL happened, so "brought him on board" is inaccurate.

Richmond is close enough that some Nova players have chosen it, including a player from Fredericksburg right now. Don't sound so threatened.

Fredericksburg isn’t nova. There are Richmond kids playing in nova and nova kids playing in Richmond. Fredericksburg kids go both ways. What’s your point?

I found the discussion relevant and interesting. If you don't, please don't read it. That's fine. I choose to pass on reading threads all the time, and some comments too when they are just garbage.

He is a great coach for a certain type of player. He is detrimental for other types. Like many mortals who coach. I am glad he's no longer a scout though. The way he ran the NTCs was good, but he was a typical example of political recruiting to serve his own ends. I do give him full props for Jordan Canniff. She is a superstar and he pretty much noticed it and pulled her up to the top.

I don’t understand why a Fredericksburg parent would drive their kid to Richmond when VDA (as an example) is so close. Why don’t people play at the closest club?

Well, I heard that “commuter” got a bunch of offers and committed to WVU. Bruner must be doing something right if “return-on-commute” means a scholarship to a Power 5 program.

Because VDA is a joke.

If the poster's question is intended to include DA teams, then Bethesda DA U16/17 is the best 03 boys team in the DC area. They've beaten DC United DA's team twice this season, as well as knocked off a number of other MLS academy teams this season (e.g., NE Revolution). However, because this BSC team has not played club teams, it's difficult to compare them against that pool.

Girls teams. Thanks though, Bethesda dad.
