He didn't refuse her access. He told her that a male colleague would need to be present. Nothing at all wrong with that.

In this #MeToo era, one just cannot be too careful. Good for him.

Oh really, just an allegation? Donald is still in the White House with a couple dozen credible allegations, so...

Also, why do you want a compulsory Christian nation? Why are you bent on enforcing biblical baloney rather than expecting men not to rape? That’s what you’re saying, isn’t it? Men can’t be trusted so women should be chaperoned as they had to be in biblical days?

Oh, FFS.
"Compulsory Christian nation?" Who the hell said anything about that.
Let me clarify for you what I am saying.............

He did not want to give any appearance of impropriety. He did not want to have to defend himself against false allegations from his competition. He did not want to have to defend himself from rumors that might be started. It is THAT simple.

You are unhinged.

Oh, FFS indeed.

If a guy doesn’t want to give any appearance of impropriety, don’t treat women different than you treat men. Don’t comment on a woman’s appearance. Don’t imply she’s less of a professional just because she’s in possessor a uterus and a vagina. Don’t caress her. Don’t give hugs. Don’t make gross sex jokes. Don’t sexually harass her. Don’t sexually assault her. See? This is easy, and it’s 100% within a man’s control.

That he needs to have women chaperoned in his presence doesn’t say he’s careful, it suggests he ought to locked up in a sex offender’s unit in prison. He’s admitting he can’t control himself.

False. He’s making damn sure no false allegations will be made about him, which would be easy do if he was alone with the reporter - especially a reporter who clearly has an agenda against him to begin with.

Nope. False rape charges are about 2% of all rapes. 5/1000 rapists actually face prosecution. He’s barking up the wrong tree with this nonsense.

So I say: clearly, he knows he can’t be trusted NOT to slide his hand up a lady reporter’s skirt or not grab her crotch. He knows he needs to be chaperoned or he just won’t be able to help himself. The guy should be locked up if he can’t not rape a woman unless there’s another dude there.

Exactly.

What the f*ck does this even mean? In an era where women are emboldened to come forward and hold men accountable for their perverted sexist behavior?

You would only say this if you believe the "#MeToo era" is a bunch of bored women making things up against defenseless men.

In an era when #BelieveHer is the norm without any proof or evidence - men cannot be too careful.
They would be crazy not to consider self-protection.

They could try not raping women. That would be a good start.

This is like f-ing sharia law. Disgusting and indefensible.

Not even close.

If she doesn't want to have another male colleague present, she can refuse the interview. Simple.

Nobody is forcing her to do anything she doesn't want to do.

Did you even read that post before you hit "submit"?

Tell me how that's NOT a taliban policy.

Why does the chaperone have to be male? <----- This is how you know his request is 100% sexism and not at attempt to prevent false allegations of sexual assault.

All it takes is one...to what? Show me ONE man's life ruined by a false allegation.

Here is just one such story.
This Army Colonel was on the verge of being promoted to Brigadier General when the false allegations were made.

In the end, the jury awarded him a nice settlement (most of which he will probably never see), but if you don't think his life was hell during the investigation - you are crazy.
And, he never got the promotion.

I'm sure that was troublesome for him, but it isn't fair to say that his life was ruined.

Exactly! Why can't a woman conspire with a man to make a false accusation?

Women are literally garbage to this guy.

Just stop. And, then go pick up the book, Accused, by Tonya Craft.
This happens to be a woman who was falsely accused. She went through pure hell.
It doesn't matter if it is a man or woman. A false accusation is devastating.

Also, you may remember the case of the PE teacher in FCPS named Sean Lanigan. Not only HE went through hell, but so did his family and the community. His reputation was shot.
Not sure he ever fully recovered.

Leave it to liberals to paint the narrative that he is choosing to make this decision because HE can't control himself.

It is thanks to the #BelieveHer at all costs movement that has forced men to make decisions like this.

He is protecting himself. I can't blame him.

Men make false allegations too. Why not just have an aide with him at all times?

Can you name some false allegations made by men? Jussie Smollett doesn’t count (this time).

The guy who accused George Takei.

Isn't Takei gay?

??? Yes but so what?

Name a false allegation made by a man against a man who isn't gay.

Why does the man's orientation matter? And how do YOU know any particular man isn't gay or bisexual anyway? How about that Larry "wide stance" Craig? He was married.

Do you care about the thousands upon thousands of women's lives who are ruined by men who harass, assault, and intimate them?

Women and girls used to be chaperoned by their grannies or mothers or other older women. I don't see why he insists that the chaperone be a man. Very strange.
