Women irritate me (vent)

I clearly spoke to MY experience, common cultural threads I see, and mentioned that not all women I've encountered are this way. I also mentioned that I do have a close female friend. So many responses cast this to the side, people get caught up in their emotions, and make false statements. It is this emotional dynamic that suffocates me. This pressure to coddle another woman's feelings that I can't stand. I want to come across more truly independent women. Those who do not offend easily, who can handle opposing experiences/viewpoints well, who are strong in their personhood, and who realize that 9 times out of 10 in life....shit ain't that deep.

OP, what was the point of starting this thread?

What were you looking to get?

The attention and validation from women that she actually wants but won’t admit to wanting

OP is hoping to get validated that she’s not like other girls, she’s a cool girl.

If you get along with men, but not women, it's because you're better looking than the other women.

Had to be said! Those that oppose with all the blah blah blah can't make it untrue.

They are needy, have unrealistic expectations of you, and have no yet perfected how to be independent. They also have not learned how to enjoy time alone with themselves. I know this is not ALL women, but it is a lot of women. It's maddening. Men are so much simpler. I envy the way their friendships work at times.[/quote

Woman here. Agree

This was the “cool” thing to say like 15 years ago. Now people understand you’ve internalized misogyny and are likely projecting your own insecurities and flaws onto other women.

OP, if you find women in general to be annoying, untrustworthy, and hurtful, why are you venting on a site that is mostly women -- instead of to your (mostly male) friends?

Do your male friends not want to listen, or is it that you were looking for a reaction? Because from what you said, there's no reason for you to expect good things from this.

Posting here makes no sense, unless you are looking for drama and bad reactions, given what you said.

This. I find most people on this planet highly annoying. I am currently in my hotel room on travel for work, and I have been watching Cartoon network instead of the news during my downtime to avoid annoying newscasters. You know you've got it bad when the people on the news irritate you!

Ah, right. Commercials reveal truth.

You are the ones that think Nutella is a health food, right?

Vitaminwater? Penis pills? Psychic "friends"? (Oh no, wait, they're women. )

Takes some real cognitive dissonance to not get along with an entire gender and assume it’s a) them and b) because you’re just so gorgeous they can’t deal
Anonymous
Wouldn't that mean you are The Most Beautiful?

Congratulations, there can be only one!

I understand what OP is saying. Women are more complicated. I find American women to be especially difficult to friend. There's a mean girl culture here. I was shocked when I came here for high school and my girlfriend's were calling each other bit***. It was also really common to sit around gossiping about your friends when they were not around.
