I don’t think it’s sweat, I smell it on my baby, even before it was especially hot outside.
I agree it is a new thing in the past few years and am curious about the source. |
I can’t read every page but I’m part bloodhound and “outside” definitely has a smell. It smells like dead worms when ppl come in from outside. |
It's definitely not a new thing. We were all aware of this growing up in the 80s. It doesn't have to be really hot, but there's definitely a seasonal component. The unpleasant "outside" smell seems to attach on my hair more than anything else! |
I think it smells like egg. It made my son throw up today when he smelled it. |
I spray water + essential oil on my hair and brush it. |
Oh, people. Jesus Christ. Just like BO was only invented when there was deodorant, outside smell was invented when y’all sat inside on your asses. Why is this... confusing? Or hard? Good lord. The smell is because you spend almost all your time in contrived spaces. Get outside. |
Actually "outside" smells sweet and fresh to me in the burbs.
Where does "outside" smell like rotten eggs?? |
I would love to know why the ozone smell happens some days and not others. My kids’ clothes reeked of it in the spring on clear days, but they’ve been outside just as much these last two gorgeous days, and there is no smell at all. |
Ghosts? |
I love the smell of outside! Y'all can keep your hermetically sealed spaces, I'll be out in nature. |
+1000. Right now magnolias are blooming, honey sucker, peonies. The smells are heavenly. It just a little hint of sweetness in the air. I also love the smell of my tomato bushes. Where do you all live that outside smells bad? I grew up in a city, and I still don't recall a bad outside smell, it is still a fresh air there. |
Where I live in deep south Texas, just a few minutes outside in the warm humidity makes a person smell like a wet dog. I refer to it as "smelling like the outdoors." |
I saw that outfit at Fashion week, it's so last year. |
Wow how have I missed this crazy thread in the past? I can smell asparagus pee, snow, rain coming and even ozone/electricity smell but recognize no such “outside smell” beyond fresh air or pollution. |
