OP, I love your names!! Violet and Hazel were both on my list for my first which was a girl. Her name is Cora. Which has been suggested a bunch here. My 2nd was a boy, but Hazel was going to be a strong contender if not.

I really like two syllable names, mainly bc our last name is 4 syllables and a mouth full already.

Except for Betty which is a nn for Elizabeth all these bolded are awful. Some names should die.

I have a friend with Hazel and Ruby girls. My name is a color name and my mom wanted my sister to be Scarlett...my dad vetoed. She got a French name (fairly unusual but becoming more popular) instead.

We honestly didn’t intend on going with a color theme. Hazel is anfamily name and we just really both loved Violet. Actually wanting to avoid color name since it may seem too much, but maybe #3 would feel left out?
