I love these names

I'm not a parent - so excuse this ignorant question: but do these wonderful names being suggested here mean that the hegemony of Madison and Kayleigh and Brittany is through?

Madison, Kayleigh, and Brittany peaked in 2000-2006, 2009 (for Kaylee, the most common spelling), and 1989-91, respectively. Brittanys are in their 30s and having babies of their own.

I just read that Madison is one of the most hated names in America. Along with anything with the Mc in front of it. Crazy!

If you want to break from the botanical/color theme but stay with a broad natural world theme, maybe Lyra.

Those are garden names.

The names are both garden names and color names. I think the third should follow suite.
Rose
Olive
Poppy

This is the PP - and HA, shows what I know. How about those Irish-y names that I was seeing a lot of for a while there? The Brandons and Aidens and Connors (and their female equivalents)?

I like Sylvia. 1. I like that it steers the theme of the names away from plants. 2. It kind of has a color thing to it. 3. It has a Y and a V in it. All your names have letters not commonly used at the end of the alphabet. 4. I think a little Sylvia is cute. 5. It starts with a new letter. 6. It flows well with 3 syllables.

We are going with Olive but changing middle name to Amelia because we think it sounds better.
