Except all those of us with eyes and ears. Much of the Republican whinery has been about everyone else getting a seat at the table and how unfair that is to white men. "Identity politics" are only bad when they recoginize the identity of people other than white men, for example, how conservat8ves never met a "#metoo" they didn’t think was hysterically funny, "P.C. culture" was basically them being upset that we expanding the canon... what's that old saw about how when the field is made level it feels like oppression to the people who formerly had it all. Oooohhh, he's going to meet with them? Wow! The North Koreans have wanted to meet with the US for decades (for the respect they think such an event confers upon them.) The US (incl. Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush 1, Bush 2) always declined because we don't meet with despots. But the orange load is giving them what they want.
