IUI-- did you do it. Did you succeed. Why do people do this?

My twins are the result of my 4IUI. The first 3 failed and prior to the 4th, so had a laporascopy. The 4th IUI (injectables on the 4th try only, clomid first 3xs) was successful!! I was 31yo when K got pregnant, 32yo when I gave birth to my sons.
