Do you think Trump's tax proposal will pass?

The potential benefits not just to the president but to some Cabinet members is an underreported aspect of this plan.

I'm actually surprised CNBC was willing to print this.

I think it’s generous to call Liberty University students “economists”. But, whatever.

Seriously. But that won't matter to Trump supporters.

The President gives lawmakers cover for the expedited passage of this tax bill by distracting us with his Tweets. Of course it will benefit his business and fortune, as it will result in the very wealthiest of the investor class paying a maximum tax rate of 20% on their fortunes, and no estate tax at all. A small business startup owned by a good friend in California, trying to create white-collar jobs for professionals, is going to get crushed out of its nascent existence by this tax bill. Devastating for most Americans for who will pay the ultimate price in either higher taxes, dropping home values, or extinguished municipal and social services.

Explain this CA business please. The Senate has the estate tax but doubled the exemption. Sadly I doubt cities and counties will lower taxes. Perhaps some projects will no longer be done. Medicare premiums might go up for those of us who actually pay in when enrolled while CA and other states use fed money for illegals at the commun ity clinics.

And medicare will continue to subsidize granny from another country.

Now the Washington Post has implicitly decided NOVA is racist based on pockets of poverty. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/tucked-inside-wealthy-northern-virginia-are-pockets-of-poverty-report-says/2017/11/28/71ec1500-d447-11e7-a986-d0a9770d9a3e_story.html?hpid=hp_local-news_nova-poverty-230pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.52af1737a063

Poor NOVA-a cash cow for the state and it gets squat back. Now loses SALT. But I guess nothing is enough for the WP until FX County buys single family homes in Mclean and Vienna for illegals.

I don't see how this doesn't pass. There's a couple senators that are barely wavering.

So none of the red state Dems are voting for this? I thought Manchin and Heitkamp might defect.

What's a downstream tax increase? You mean less taxpayer subsidies? The LMC doesn't pay taxes.

Something tells me this won't affect their support of Trump one bit.
